The Sound of Music

Believe it or not, when I was about 7 yrs. old, I use to come home from school and watch The Sound of Music. Strange thing for a 7 year old to love. Well, I did! So when the opportunity came up to go and see the play at Tuacahn, I couldn't pass up taking my girls.

Here's Maria and Captain Von Trapp and Gretel. The play was fabulous. If I could have any talent gifted to me, I would definitely pick SINGING. What about you?

So, check out these Bread Sticks. This was our first time eating at The Pizza Factory. This definitly takes the prize for 'Coolest Presentation of Bread Sticks'

I have a fear of driving alone with my children for more than an hour. Thanks Monica for driving and hanging with us for the day! Your the best!

Zucchini Baby

One of Nathan's co-workers gave him a Zucchini from Gilcrease. Well, this huge zucchini became the kids baby for a couple of days before it fulfilled its destiny and became zucchini bread. Thanks for the recipe Sara. The kids wrapped the zucchini, pushed it around in the baby stroller, dressed it and rocked it to sleep.

Tracy's Visit

The Millers and Belnaps get together at least once sometimes twice a year.
So what do great friends do when they visit?

The girls wrote a 10 page play and then preformed it

They created an Origami Store
their own cell phones out of cardboard and construction paper and many forts

Went to the Free Movies (twice) and then ate lunch and Taco Bell

Celebrated Jalyne's 9th Birthday

Went to The Museum of Natural History,

had a picnic lunch and went to Anderson Dairy for the free tour just to get some free ice cream and then a quick stop by The Old Mormon Fort all in one day.

Played at the Park and participated in Taylors Pac Meeting

Checked out the Vistor's Center at Red Rockhad another picnic lunch and then started out on a hike

with Taylor as their guide, Tracy took some kids while I stayed in the car with the rest.

Tracy and I acted like little girls and went down the slide 100 times.

and had frozen yogurt at Golden Spoon!

Yes, this was an exhausting week,

but with Nathan's generosity,

Tracy and I were able to get a night without the kids!
Each night, the girls bunked up together going to bed late and waking up early.

The older girls ate all their meals at the small table. Too cute!

After a week of play, all good things must come to an end:(

Jalyne's Birthday Wishes

Jalyne wanted a Build A Bear for her Birthday and she has been asking for Bangs for months now. Here's the Bear she picked out. Complete with Sketchers, Roller Skates, and Glasses to match hers. This bear has magnets in his hands so that she can put her hands together or on her cheeks. So cute. The best part is that we put a voice box inside the hand and we all yelled "Happy 9th Birthday Jalyne!" Love It. I totally want one.

Jalyne's 9th Birthday

Birthday days begin with the 'Looking for your Present'! I have to get really creative with the older kids. This took a good 10 minutes. Then I make them their Favorite Breakfast.

Jalyne decide she wanted to go swimming at the Willows Pool. Aren't they cute.
The slide is a blast.

You can slide sitting up, on your back, on your stomach,

and my favorite - on your stomach backwards.

No Walmart cake for this girl. She doesn't like cake. She only likes cupcake. Don't even try to think too much about that fact. Thanks to Nathan for frosting the cupcakes. Isn't she gorgeous.

Congrats Graduates!

The Senior Class of '08 @ Sierra Vista High School Graduated yesterday. I was such a sap. I am going to cry like a baby when my kids graduate. Which is only in 6 years. That will fly by. This school has been dear to our hearts the past 4 years because the kids that Nathan taught and coached for two years have grown up and graduated.

Our Favorite Rylee was able to share one of her poems titled "Remember" over the podium.


She did an amazingly perfect job reciting the whole thing from her heart!

Love these moments

I love these moments because they are laying together without fighting and because Andrew is just mimicking what he saw his big sisters doing.

Notice how Andrew is holding a purple my little pony doll. Nathan and Taylor think it's not so funny that he plays with all his sisters toys instead of playing sports. I think it's cute. His sister's play and interact with him. So, he just does what they do. I think it will make him a boy and a man who has no boundaries, no insecurities and is sensitive to his inner feelings. Ha! Ha!
